PvP
Forever keeps the 14 original ranks but simplifies the system: earn Honor to spend and Rank Points to climb, with a weekly cap, seasonal journeys and a new 15v15 battleground.
How PvP progression works
HONOR
A currency from defeating players, finishing battlegrounds and PvP quests. Spend it on a blue PvP set, then upgrade pieces to epic with an Emboldened Seal. Holiday-week battlegrounds give more.
RANK POINTS
From battlegrounds and PvP quests. They raise your rank toward Grand Marshal or High Warlord, with a weekly cap. Check progress: Character pane (C), Player vs. Player tab.
SEASONS
Each season has a journey of weekly tasks that give Honor and Rank Points. Weeks 4, 7 and 10 also give a Legacy Point and stay available in later seasons.
Blizzard evened out Honor gains so Alterac Valley isn't the only efficient choice. Browse the PvP item sets.

Darkspear Islands (new)
THE MAP
- 15 vs 15, levels 30–60, off the coast of Dustwallow Marsh.
- Hold four capture points: more points held, faster scoring.
- A flag in the middle: carry it to a base you own for bonus points.
- First team to 2,000 points wins.
QUEUE AND REWARDS
- Queue at a battlemaster in any capital, or take the portal at the Barrens bases: Merchant Coast (Horde, Darkspear Raiders) or Northwatch (Alliance, Theramore Expeditionary Force).
- Reputation vendors sell trinkets, rings, cloaks, weapons, armor and consumables.
- Turn in Marks of Honor for reputation; Exalted unlocks a questline for the faction tabard.

12 Legacy points from PvP
Ranks 3, 7, 10, 13 and 14 (5), Exalted with each battleground reputation (4), and Field of Honor weeks 4, 7 and 10 (3). Plan them in the Legacy planner. On a PvP ruleset you're open to attack in contested zones: see the ruleset chooser.
