Leveling speed tips

Forever adds new ways to level faster: XP food, a sleeping bag, camp tents and Legacy perks, on top of rested experience. Here is what each does, with numbers from the game files where they exist.

The XP boosts

BoostWhat it doesHow to get it
Rested XPDoubles XP from kills until used up. Not quest XP.Log out in an inn, a capital or your sleeping bag. Builds 5% of a level per 8 hours, up to 150% (community figures).
XP food+5% XP from kills while Well Fed (game files). Most crafted food. Cook it yourself; vendor food doesn't give it.
Sleeping bagRest in it a minute for an XP bonus, stacking up to 3 times (game files). Counts as a rested spot.Cozy Sleeping Bag, from a quest chain starting around level 14 UNCONFIRMED
Camp TentTops up rested XP to 5% of a level (game files).Sit a minute at a campfire with a Leatherworker's tent. Camping

A simple hourly routine

  1. Start at a camp: sit a minute for the tent top-up and the hour-long camp buffs.
  2. Lie in your sleeping bag until it stacks 3 times.
  3. Eat XP food, then spend rested XP on kills: a level-matched dungeon group is ideal.
  4. Log out somewhere rested.
