Keybinds

A keyboard map you can click: one general layout, plus a suggested layout for all 27 specs built from the Forever spell data. Same job on the same key for every character.

⇧ = Shift. W A S D move; with the Enhanced preset A and D strafe, so Q and E are free.

Q · INTERRUPT

Interrupt

Same key on every character, so it becomes reflex.

The pattern most players use

KEYS NEAR WASD

Put your most-pressed abilities on 1–5, Q, E, R, F. Your fingers never leave movement, so you never stop to click.

SAME JOB, SAME KEY

Interrupt on Q, defensive on E, crowd control on F for every class. When you play an alt your hands already know.

MODIFIERS FOR COOLDOWNS

Shift (or Ctrl) plus a number for big cooldowns you press rarely. Buffs and out-of-combat tools go on Z, X, C, V.

Coming from clicking? Rebind one key at a time: start with the interrupt and your main attack. In Options, Key Bindings, you can bind action bar slots, and Click Casting lets healers bind spells to mouse clicks on party frames.

Options that change how keys work

SettingDefaultSuggestedWhy
Press and Hold CastingOffOnHold a key to keep casting it; easier on hands.
Mouseover CastOffHealers: OnSpells cast on the unit under your mouse without a macro.
Empowered Spell InputOffYour choiceEmpowered spells need a second press instead of holding.

Also in Options: Click Casting (Key Bindings) binds spells to clicks on party frames, and the Interact Key loots and talks with one key. For conditions like @mouseover and modifiers, see Macros.

Using a mouse with side buttons

Side buttons are good for the jobs you need while moving: interrupt and a defensive. Bind them in Key Bindings by clicking a slot, then pressing the mouse button.

PREVIEW
Spec layouts are Undying suggestions, not official. Ability names and icons come from the WoW Forever game files (build 1.60.1.70707); talents and ranks may change, and some abilities need talent points.
